Literature Text

Grief steadily stalks, abruptly,

lustily, latches on

eager to fanatically feast

slowly sinking its razor sharp teeth

poignantly piercing, sweetly savoring sumptuous flesh,

greedily gustily

gluttonous,

carefully, consciously consuming.

With a horrifically heinous, macabre grin

voraciously vampiric

it sucks out joy jubilantly

licks its fingers feverishly

toying, twisting, tormenting and torturing

its lips and teeth stained blood red with meaningful memories.

Its jaw slackens and its unquenchable thirst is satiated

only when it spies its pitiful prey

lying in a useless crumpled heap

on the ground in a numb nether world

bound buoyantly in a translucent tempest

devoid of all happiness

in the aftermath of its attack.
My feelings about a turn a relationship took that was beyond my control.
